However, to meet the varying needs of overclockers, Team has further reduced the timing of DDR2-800 modules and thus introduced the Xtreem DDR2-800 range to start the low-latency overclocking experience.

To realize the commitment to “putting quality first”, Team has exerted its full capacity in vertical integration while developing the Xtreem DDR2-800 module, including die screening, platform verification to product testing, and every step has gone through uncompromised validation to ensure top quality is delivered. Moreover, every module is equipped with the glossy coating aluminum heat-sink in silver cover printed with the Xtreem logo to correspond to the brilliant performance of the module in order to make it different from DDR2-800 modules from other brands and to mark out the peculiarity of Team’s Xtreem DDR2-800 module.

Though the difference in clock speed of DDR2-667 to DDR2-800 is but 133MHz, the data transfer bandwidth has increased by nearly 20% from 5.3Gbps to 64Gbps. However, with reference to the JEDEC specification, either the DDR2-667 or the DDR2-800, the CAS latency (CL) standard is 5. Therefore, besides optimizing the CL performance, the Xtreem DD2-800 has improved the performance of other features, the tCL,tRCD, tRP and tRAS, to 4-4-4-10. This way, besides largely enhancing the performance of the Xtreem DD2-800 from the traditional 5-5-5-18 configuration of convention DDR2-800 modules, Team has successfully boosted the performance of Xtreem DDR2-800 to that of the DDR2-1000.
